Fall & winter 2019 hair trends
Hair is riding the throwback train for fall and winter 2019. The ‘80’s and ‘90’s have influenced just about everything from your color to where to place hair accessories.
It might be intimidating to walk out the door with a giant clip in your hair, but trust us, the models on the Fall 2019 runways will convince you to go for it. And if you’ve been holding off that major hair color change, we have all the hairstyle inspo you need to take the plunge.
The best fall hair trends for 2019 include (but are certainly not limited to) barrettes, scrunchies, hats, headbands, beach waves, and pastel colors. There’s something to fit any hair type and personal preference. Whether you want a permanent hairstyle change or simply want to refresh your current look, celebrities and models have already done it for us. Take a peek at the following pictures and prepare for your next big hair move.
1. Accessory overload
It was Gabrielle Chanel who once advised something along the lines of "take one accessory off before you leave the house." Don't just ignore that advice for hair accessories this season—do the opposite. Add more sparkly clips, pins, and baubles to your hair before you leave the house. The more, the better!

2. Hat Hair
Just because you're wearing a hat doesn't mean you need to forget about your hair. At Zimmermann, hair was styled in loose waves under a beret.

3. Beach Waves
Yes, it might be fall, but that doesn’t mean that you have to give up your beachy waves. In fact, it’s the perfect style for the season because it gives you that “I woke up like this” look that you see on Insta all year round. Spritz in a salt spray and scrunch your hair for a textured, piecey look.

4. Pastel Touches
Fashion hair colors are more muted this season, with the pastel tones that have been so popular in recent seasons used more subtly in the fall/ winter 2019 hair color trends. Take for instance the color story at Saint Laurent, where touches of pastel tones were used in groups based on the elements, with streaks of pale blue and peach meant to remind us of clouds and a sunrise horizon.
