How to do a spa treatment for your hair at home

The ultimate luxury? A hair spa treatment at home. You won’t need to get an appointment at the salon, jump in your car, and then head back home. Just a walk to your bathroom and you’re set.
Just like any other spa treatment, a hair spa is a rejuvenating hair treatment that can help with a variety of things including dandruff, itchy scalp, reduces the effects of pollution, dirt and sun, and strengthens the hair.

Where to start? We’ve got all the steps covered…

  1. Apply a pre-shampoo treatment mask

Designed for heat-styled, colored and chemically-processed locks, PALM SPRINGS is the ultimate treatment mask. A restorative cocktail of butters, oils and extracts that deeply conditions and strengthens for a well-rested look with tons of shine. To use PALM SPRINGS, apply to dry hair 20-30 minutes before shampooing.

2. Exfoliate your scalp. We love R+Co’s THE CROWN Scalp Scrub to exfoliate.

How to use THE CROWN: Massage a walnut-sized amount into the entire scalp until you feel exfoliants fully dissolve. Rinse thoroughly. Hair will feel shiny and royally clean.

2. Use a clarifying shampoo

OBLIVION removes color-dulling residue and buildup from chlorine, hard water, and styling products.

3. Apply a masque

With TELEVISION, you’ll transform dry, styled and processed hair into camera-worthy perfection. This hair masque dramatically improves elasticity and manageability for all hair types while conditioning, deeply replenishing and fighting frizz. After shampooing with OBLIVION, apply TELEVISION and work through wet hair focusing on ends.

5. Steam your hair and scalp with a towel

Before you rinse the masque out, tightly wrap a damp, hot towel around your hair and leave it on until it cools. The combination of heat applied with the masque will leave your hair feeling extra lustrous. Once the heat has escaped, rinse your hair and style as usual!
